North Carolina Glass Center is dedicated to education, exploration, and collaboration in all forms of glass. 

North Carolina Glass Center is a non-profit, public access glass studio and gallery. Our low-cost shared studios help emerging artists launch their careers and enable established glass artists to pursue new and ambitious challenges. Our gallery showcases the finest work from undiscovered to established glass artists in Western North Carolina. Our educational programs provide thousands of aspiring glass artists with high quality, affordable instruction. Our community outreach programs provide safe spaces for veterans, youth and marginalized individuals to learn the science and healing power of glass.

Accessibility: NCGC is committed to making glass art accessible to people of all abilities. Our galleries, classrooms, and public areas are ADA accessible, and we work with participants to provide reasonable accommodations when requested. Our programs offer multiple ways to engage, from observing demonstrations and exhibitions to participating in hands-on experiences, allowing individuals to choose the level of physical and sensory participation that works best for them. We recognize that accessibility includes physical, visual, hearing, and cognitive access. Staff are available to assist visitors and participants, provide information about programs and facilities in advance, and work directly with individuals to address accommodation needs. Our website and online shop are important extensions of our physical spaces, and we continue to improve digital accessibility and provide clear information so visitors can plan their experience. NCGC welcomes feedback from participants and visitors about barriers they encounter and uses that feedback to continually improve access to our programs, facilities, and online resources.

Sustainability: NCGC advocates for more sustainable practice in the creation of and accessibility to glass art. To this end we are lowering our carbon footprint 25% by 2025 by committing to energy efficient solutions in our studios and galleries. We are investing in electric furnaces and equipment, LED lighting, sustainable glass recycling programs, solar energy, and are moving to all recyclable or compostable packing materials.
