“Residue, by definition, is a small amount of something that remains after the main part has gone, been taken or used. With this body of work, I am exploring the idea of residue and traces of things left behind. These pieces are the beginning stages of my exploration, incorporating decals and image transfers.”
Signe Ballew studied glass blowing at Alfred University and received her BFA in 2012, with a focus in glass and printmaking. After graduation, she worked for several non-profits along the east coast.
